The invention relates to a method for producing a pacifier suction with a cavity forming a suction portion, which is followed by a shaft, and pacifier suction with a cavity forming with a suction portion, which is followed by a shaft.
There are already a variety of different pacifiers known in which a suction part is attached to a shield. These are suction parts, which consist of a hollow body, so that the hollow body elastically deforms upon application of a suction pressure of the child and thus reduces the cavity enclosed by the suction walls. If the baby or toddler using the pacifier does not apply any suction force to the hollow body, it will assume its initial shape again. This conventional form of hollow vacuum cups substantially corresponds to a club shape, i. a shank portion, via which the hollow body suction is connected to the shield, which has a comparatively small cross section, and which then widens to a cantilevered nipple part or suction portion, which thus has a comparatively large cross section.
The use of such pacifiers by babies or toddlers, however, disadvantageously causes that the rows of teeth of the baby or toddler in the region of the shaft of the pacifier can not be completely closed. In particular, the region of the jaw or tooth system affects the elastic restoring force of the hollow body on the jaw or the teeth of the toddler. This can contribute to a frontal open bite, that is, a deformity of the teeth of the growing child.
From WO 99/04745 A is already known to provide a comparatively flat transmitter body in a conventional hollow body, which is angled so that the transmitter body between the upper and lower incisors of a small child can be accommodated and thus attempts is essentially a closing of the incisors enable. However, due to the design of the nipple as a hollow body must
* * ··· _ * 2 · «··· this angled transmitter body be designed double-walled, so that there is a comparatively large wall thickness also in the region of the transmitter with respect to the other flat suction transmitter.
A similar solution is also described in WO 98/02132 A, but here is a special absorbent body is provided, which is arranged in the position used below the lip of the baby or toddler, so that a lip contact with the upper palate area is possible.
Further special orthodontic hollow body suction devices are described, for example, in DE 102 27 787 A, DE 43 18 693 A and DE 828 288 C. Again, however, the wall thickness of the hollow body suction in the region of the jaw or tooth support due to the double-walled design of the hollow body is limited downwards.
US Pat. No. 3,924,621 further discloses a pacifier nipple with a substantially closed-walled bulbous absorbent which is connected to the pacifier shield via a plurality of connecting elements, wherein an opening remains between the connecting elements so that the child's tongue is allowed to rest to penetrate this free space. This should allow a direct contact of the tongue of the child with the upper front teeth and the palate. The lateral connecting elements are intended to serve as a kind of guide for guiding the tongue into its natural position.
From US 2004/087039 A is a fully trained in cross-section suction part in which a variety of ventilation grooves can be provided known.
WO 98/27928 A1 discloses a conventional hollow body vacuum cleaner or, alternatively, a suction portion designed as a solid wall as a whole. A pocket for receiving a tablet is provided in the hollow body or the suction section which is in the form of a full wall as a whole. • · V • ·
WO 96/20687 Al shows a pacifier with a special suction part, the projections in the direction of the alveolar ridges on. The absorbent body can either be hollow as a whole or fully formed.
The aim of the present invention, however, is to provide a method for producing a pacifier suckers, in which a substantially known hollow body suckers corresponding sucker is produced, wherein the pacifier suction in the area of the jaw support or in the tooth closure region is formed such that a through the use of pacifier suction co-caused frontal open bite is avoided as far as possible.
According to the invention this is achieved by a method of the initially mentioned type, in which a suction portion and the shaft having elastic hollow body is injected or preformed in a dipping process, wherein opposite wall portions of the preformed hollow body are connected to each other in the region of the shaft. According to the invention therefore a two-stage process is provided in which initially a hollow body is Hergestel.lt whose outer shape substantially corresponds to known hollow body suckers. After this hollow body pacifier vacuum cleaner has been preformed, opposite wall portions of the hollow body in the region of the shaft are connected to each other, so that in the shaft region, i. in the area of the jaw or tooth system by the toddler, results in a substantially single-walled design of the suction cup designed as a hollow body pacifier suction. By this manufacturing process can be prevented in particular that the finished Schnul lersauger in the field of jaw or tooth system due to the elastic restoring force of the hollow body exerts pressure on the jaw or the teeth, which favors the formation of an open frontal bite; i.e. the permanent connection of opposing wall sections advantageously eliminates the elastic restoring behavior of the pacifier suction device in the shaft region.
The connection of the opposite wall sections can advantageously be achieved by introducing a connecting material in viscous form between the opposing wall sections and subsequently transferring the connecting material under the influence of pressure and / or heat in order to connect the wall sections to an elastic state. By introducing a viscous connecting material, the previously viscous connecting material intimately connects with the wall sections during the transition to the elastic state, so that the connected wall sections remain connected to one another even when subjected to tension or expansion.
As a viscous connecting material can be provided for the least possible influence on the elastic behavior of the dummy teat in the shaft region in particular a substantially the same chemical structure as the material from which the preformed hollow body was made. If the hollow body therefore consists of a silicone or a (natural) rubber material, a silicone or latex material is advantageously also used as the viscous connecting material. When using such similar viscous bonding materials occurs in the curing process, i. in the conversion of the viscous bonding material in its elastic state, advantageously a chemical cross-linking between the wall sections to be joined and the connecting material, so that a particularly intimate, substantially a single homogeneous layer forming compound of the wall sections is achieved. On the one hand to achieve a reliable connection of the wall sections, on the other hand to avoid the entry of Verbindungsmater ial on the wall sections to be joined out into the cavity, it is advantageous if ca, 0.5 to 3ml, in particular substantially 1 to 2ml, viscous bonding material is introduced between the wall sections to be connected.
In the case of a rubber hollow body, it is favorable if the connecting material before insertion between the wall sections to be joined before a share. 40 -60% latex and a viscosity of about 15 - 30 sec Ford cup 5 has. This advantageously results in the fact that due to the low viscosity of the latex concentrate, the amount introduced is substantially evenly distributed in the area of the pressed wall sections of the hollow body.
Alternatively, however, a viscous bonding material having a different chemical structure as the material of the preformed hollow body can be used. In this case, an adhesion, i. bonding the wall portion by sticking and not by chemical or physical crosslinking.
A particularly intimate connection of the opposite wall sections can also be achieved in a simple manner, when the preformed hollow body consists of a rubber material that is not fully vulcanized, wherein the wall sections to be joined are brought into contact before the rubber material by means Heat is completely vulcanized. Under rubber material in the sense of the invention is vulcanized rubber, as it is obtained in particular from the latex (latex) of tropical plants. Usually, the latex material or a latex mixture before the preformed hollow body is prepared by immersing a mold in a latex bath is heated or pre-vulcanized for about 2 4 hours at 40-70 ° C; Tests have shown that with a shortening of this Vorvulkanisierungszeit, in which the latex material or a latex mixture preferably for 18 to 22 hours, in particular substantially 20 hours, to about 40-7 0 ° C, preferably to substantially 50-55üC, is heated, not completely vulcanized hollow body is achieved, the wall sections - even without the addition of an external connection material - can be permanently connected to each other by subsequent pressure application and heating in a simple manner. Due to the shortened pre-vulcanization time, the latex material or the latex mixture has a higher value on the so-called swelling index ("swelling index") for latex materials; the threshold value of the preformed, not completely vulcanized hollow body is preferably between 80 and 100, in particular substantially 90.
In order to allow a pressure equalization between the substantially closed-walled suction section and the environment, so that the suckling sensation for the toddler on the finished pacifier suction device is substantially equivalent to hollow-tube suction.
sucker corresponds, it is advantageous if the preformed hollow body has an opening, wherein in the cavity formed by the suction cavity extending linear element is inserted into the preformed hollow body, before the two wall sections are connected together. The opening of the preformed hollow body is provided here at the free end of the shaft, i. that portion which is connected to a pacifier shield so that the channel formed by the linear member extends from the closed-wall suction portion to the pacifier shield.
In order to form a ventilation channel, as an alternative to the arrangement of a linear element in the hollow body while the wall sections are connected to one another, it is provided that at least one channel-shaped depression extending from the cavity of the suction section through the shaft to an opening is formed during the molding of the preformed hollow body.
To connect the two wall sections has been found to be favorable when a pressure for connecting the wall sections is selected such that the wall thickness of the wall sections in the connection area is reduced to at least 80% of the wall thickness of the wall sections prior to connection of the wall sections.
In order to remove unwanted constituents from the material of the hollow body, which is particularly useful in the production of the hollow body of natural latex, it is advantageous if the hollow body before connecting the wall sections of unwanted chemical constituents, e.g. Nitrosamines, is washed free.
Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous in the case of rubber hollow bodies when the hollow body is heated in the compressed state for preferably at least 80 minutes, in particular 30 to 45 minutes, to preferably 70 to 100 ° C. As a result, sufficient chemical crosslinking is achieved in the case of rubber hollow bodies between the wall sections themselves or between an elastic connecting layer and the wall sections. Further, it is advantageous if the hollow body, after the wall sections are no longer pressed together, is heated for 20 to 30 hours at about 70 to 100 ° C; This reliably achieves complete vulcanization of the rubber material of the hollow body and optionally of the connecting material.
The pacifier nipple of the type mentioned is characterized in that opposite wall portions of a molded or dipped preformed elastic hollow body are connected to each other in the region of the shaft. By the connection of opposite wall sections in the region of the shaft, lose the wall portions of the previously preformed elastic hollow body in the region of the shaft their elastic restoring force, thereby advantageously when using the pacifier suckers from the pacifier suction no pressure on the teeth provided in the region of the shaft or jaw sections becomes.
In order to produce in a simple way, if possible permanent connection between the opposite wall sections, it is advantageous if the connected wall sections are glued together.
A particularly intimate connection between the wall sections is achieved if the connected wall sections are chemically and / or physically crosslinked with one another; such a compound is particularly insoluble even under tensile stresses.
In order to allow pressure equalization between the essentially closed-wall suction section and the surroundings, it is favorable if at least one channel connecting the cavity to an opening is provided in the shaft area.
Furthermore, in order to increase the elastic return of the hollow body and at the same time to achieve the smallest possible wall thickness in the region of the shaft, it is expedient if the wall at least in sections, in particular in the section adjoining the connecting region, has a larger one Has wall thickness than the hollow body in the shaft region before connecting the wall sections. • Λ * · 8 • »* ·

Fig. 10 is a sectional view of the dummy teat after attachment to a pacifier shield.
In Fig. 1, a container 1 is shown, which is filled with a latex liquid. This is preferably a natural latex which has a rubber or rubber content of about 60% and a remainder which consists largely of water. A dip mold 2 is dipped into the latex liquid to produce a preformed hollow body 3 (see Fig. 3). The dip mold 2 is advantageously preheated to about 55 ° -60 ° before being immersed in the latex bath.
2 and 3 then preformed hollow body 3 is shown, wherein in Fig.2 the hollow body 3 is not yet demolded from the dip mold 2. The hollow body 3 shown in FIG. 3 may alternatively be produced by means of a dipping process in an injection molding (not shown in detail) injection molding; this production by injection molding is particularly favorable if the preformed hollow body 3 consists of silicone or a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).
In Fig. 3, the preformed hollow body 3 with a bulbous cavity 4 'or suction section 4 and a shaft 5, which has an opening 6 at the end, shown. In addition, the shank 2 has on its end a flange 7 for connection to a pacifier shield 8 (see FIG. The wall sections 5 'in the region of the shaft 5 are not yet connected to each other. In particular, it can also be seen that the wall thickness in the region of the shaft 5 can be smaller than that in the region of the bulbous suction section 4, this being possible in a simple manner, in particular in the production of a preformed hollow body 3 by means of injection molding. during production by the dipping process, the preformed hollow body 3 will usually have a substantially constant wall thickness.
In Fig. 4, a washing process is shown, as is customary in particular in the production of Schnul.lersaugern of latex. Here, the preformed hollow body 3 are stored for about 24 to 30 in a recorded in a container 1 'wash solution, so that unwanted components of the natural latex, especially nitrosamines, are removed from the latex material.
Subsequently, wall portions 5 'of the shaft 5 are at least partially connected to each other, so that the hollow body 3 in the region of the shaft 5 after connection of the wall sections 5' has no elastic restoring behavior to restore the shape shown in Figure 3 more.
In this case, the wall sections 5 'can be connected to one another either by chemical and / or physical crosslinking or else by adhesive bonding, that is, by adhesive bonding.
In Fig. 5 is a two clamping parts 9, 9 'having clamping device 10 can be seen. The clamping 9 in this case has a recess 11 which is provided for (partially) receiving the preformed hollow body 3. The clamping part 9 ', however, has a projection 11', which is provided in the clamped state of the two clamping parts 9, 9 'exert an increased pressure on the wall sections 5' to be joined.
In the inserted state of the dummy teat 1 in the clamping device 10 shown in FIG. 6, it can be seen that the bulbous suction section 4 and the end of the shaft 5 project beyond the corresponding clamping surfaces of the clamping device 10 in the area of the flange 7, so that it only in the area the wall sections 5 'to be joined to a pressure application and connection of the opposite wall sections 5' comes. The clamping parts 9, 9 'can be pressed against each other via clamping elements 12, such as a screw / nut connection or hydraulically actuated beams or the like.
Before the clamping part 9 'on the lower Klemmte !! 9, a pin-shaped element 13 with a gripping part 13 'has been inserted into the hollow body 3 (cf., Fig. 7a), so that after the connection of the wall sections 5' of the hollow body 3 in the region of the clamping surfaces a channel 14 between the cavity 'And the opening 6 of the then completed dummy nipple 15 remains. Thus, a pressure equalization between the cavity 4 'and the environment is reliably ensured even after connecting the wall sections 5' by means of the clamping device 10.
The clamping device 10 shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 is particularly suitable for connecting wall sections of hollow bodies 3 made of natural rubber. For the purpose of intimately bonding the surfaces of the hollow body 3 in the area pressed against one another via the clamping surfaces, the rubber material of the hollow body 3 is not completely vulcanized when pressure is applied. The Klemmvorichtung 10 is then heated together with the hollow body 3 taken on it then for about 30-45 min to about 70 to 80 °, so that the rubber material vulcanized further; In this case, a chemical cross-linking of the opposite, pressed against each other wall portions 5 ', so that they are permanently connected to each other. Subsequently, the pacifier suckers 15 are removed from the clamping device 10 and the pacifier suckers 15, the pin-shaped elements 13 are removed by means of the handle 13 'before the pacifier suckers 15 for about 24 to 30h at about 70 to 100 ° C heated in an oven to achieve complete vulcanization or drying of the rubber material.
Alternatively, or additionally, a viscous latex bonding material, such as e.g. Natural rubber are introduced into the region of the shaft 5. Such a compound material (latex concentrate) may have a proportion of about 40-60% latex and a viscosity of about 15-30 sec Ford cup 5, so that due to the low viscosity of the latex concentrate the amount introduced, which is usually approx 1 to 2 ml, is substantially uniformly distributed in the region of the pressed-together wall sections 5 'of the hollow body 3. The amount of latex concentrate introduced is selected so that no latex concentrate reliably enters the cavity 4' but all introduced latex concentrate After the introduction of the latex concentrate, the process continues for the purpose of connecting the wall sections 5 'as described above.
Unless compounding material having substantially the same chemical structure is used, i. not a latex concentrate in a latex preformed hollow body 3 as described above, but a - after curing - an adhesive layer-forming compound material having a different chemical structure, regardless of which material of the preformed hollow body is, a (adhesive) connection of the wall sections. 5 ' be achieved. Preference is given to... * * * * * * * * * · ·························································.
Production of the hollow body 3 and thus of the dummy teat 15 Latex, silicone or a thermoplastic elastomer used.
As shown in FIG. 9, a channel 16 'formed by the pin member 13' extending from the cavity 4 'via the shaft 5 to the opening 6. The channel 16 thus provides a connection from the cavity 4' to the larger cross-sectional opening 6 and the environment forth, so that reliable pressure equalization between the cavity 4 'of the dummy teat 15 and the environment can be done.
It can be seen in the sectional view according to FIG. 10 that the shank 5, which is substantially single-walled in the shaft region after the connection of the two wall sections 5 ', can be mounted in a conventional manner on a pacifier shield 8. For this purpose, a per se known fastener 18 is provided, which penetrates with a pin-shaped projection 18 'in the larger cross-sectional opening 6 of the hollow body 3, wherein the shaft 5 and the flange 7 then positively and non-positively between the pacifier shield 8 and the mounting member 18 received becomes. Since the channel 16 remains open in the connection area with the pacifier plate 8 and the fastening element 18, a venting of the cavity 4 'and a pressure equalization with the environment is reliably possible.
